A-Mezz Fixed Ladders are the perfect solution for vertical access. Applications range from roof access on buildings to complex systems on large structures such as grain silos or bridges.

SERIES FS
Standard Fixed Ladder

Heavy duty one-piece welded assemblies. They are used on applications less than 20 ' in vertical height where hatchway or side step access is desired.

FEATURES:

• Side members are 1/4" x 2" x 2" steel angle.
• Climbing rungs are 3/4" corrugated steel round rungs spaced on 12" centers. Stand-off brackets are 7".
• Powder coated with 90+ gloss polyester powder. Pick your color from 11 stock choices. Stainless steel and hot dip galvanized coating can be quoted.

All products in the Fixed Ladder series are available in powder coated steel, hot dipped galvanized, or stainless steel. In addition, the Modular option is available which breaks down this inherently long product to smaller sections. Each section is less than seven feet in length, making transportation and installation far easier.

• Ladders are designed for applications where safe landing access is required. They are one-piece welded assemblies for use in applications less than 20 ' in vertical height.

One-piece welded assemblies designed for attachment to existing fixed ladders up to 20" wide. A wide range of standard lengths is offered with custom sizes available. To determine the proper length, the cage should begin 7 ' to 8' from the floor and extend to 42" above the landing surface (except for hatchways).

FEATURES:

• Series C cages are designed in compliance with OSHA Standard 1910.27.
• Standard cage lengths are available from 7 ' 6" to 27 ' 6".
• Cages are crated for shipping protection.

Mezz Series Roof Hatches

Ladder Safety Gate

The MLG Ladder Safety Gate is a self-closing swing gate which is economical, reliable, easy to install, and more closely matches the railings and their dimensional requirements provided for by Federal OSHA.

The gate arm is dimensioned to provide maximum opening coverage. The top-rail and bottom-rail are spaced to match the standard railing dimensions required by Federal OSHA.

What is the requirement?
OSHA Reference
29 CFR 1910.23 Guarding of floor and wall openings and holes. "(a)(2) Every ladderway floor opening or platform shall be guarded by a standard railing with standard toeboard on all exposed sides (except at entrance to opening), with passage through the railing either provided with a swing gate or so offset that a person cannot walk directly into the opening.''

Our standard Universal Hinge Assembly is versatile, fitting various railing types up to 2'' O.D. or flat surface mounting. For railings which are larger or uniquely shaped, contact the factory, we are able to provide an adapter kit to fit many railing sizes. The self-closing feature employs two (2) Stainless Steel Torsion Springs. Each gate is capable of universal swing direction. Simple invert gate for opposite swing direction.

Installation is a snap. Our gate comes fully assembled and includes U-bolts for standard installation. Requires only one 1/2'' wrench and 5 minutes of your time for installation.

As for options, the Ladder Safety Gate comes in 7 nominal sizes and is adjustable laterally up to 3-3/4'' (-1-1/4'' to +2-1/2'' of nominal size) to ensure the gate fits properly in your opening for maximum safety.

You have a choice of a mild steel gate with a Powder Coat Safety Yellow or Hot-dip Galvanized finish, or you can choose a Stainless Steel gate. Custom design and options may be available by contacting the factory.
